Outlearning the wolves book

Events in our lives are rarely as simple and direct as they appear. Sound effects and playful narration bring the characters to life. That's the power of synergy. May be without endpapers or title page. Sports teams may call it "being in the flow"; a jazz ensemble may speak of "hitting the groove," in which the music comes not "from you" but "through you.

The sheep had for many years accepted their fate on the food chain as wolves would come in to their pen and snatch sheep after sheep. Remember the sheep's complaint, "If only the stupid fence were taller. How do people know whether they are learning?

In that spirit, here are some questions designed to get you talking with your colleagues about the concepts in this book, and thinking about how to use them to make a difference in your own organization.

The sheep implement some of these ideas that results in no additional wolf attacks. Otto suggests that they understand wolves better rather than just assume what they have always been told: that wolves eat sheep.

The wolves were crawling under the barbed wire! When we create environments where people choose to enroll themselves in the doing, we create the possibility for sustainable, transformational change. Remember the sheep who said, "She's making a mockery of our heritage"? That's a pretty compelling vision.

Fables are very powerful as they can teach difficult concepts in a simple manner. As one of Hutchen's other books, "Outlearning The Wolves", this makes an excellent resource guide for teachers, parents, and business managers. Inclusion of probing questions for group discussion is a plus.

Highly recommended, even for children/5(9).
